A spectatular entrance

t’s been just one week since the A&L Africa & Adventure duo reunited, and already our progress is astounding.

Arrived a week ago and already I feel like I've lived a lifetime here, not that time doesn't pass quickly, on the contrary.

The night falls around 6:30 PM and each day is more eventful than the last.

The mountain of tasks that remains for us to complete at this point has not discouraged us at all, for he who only looks at the summit does not enjoy the landscape.

In this logic of appreciation, we still have to plan our days in order to maintain a clear direction:

It is necessary that one month after my arrival, reservation dates are available with an organized, lively, and beneficial program.

From the very first day on site, I discover the surrounding landscapes, as the trees lining the roads are already those of the savanna cliché. The fatigue from the journey from France and the energy of the city itself have knocked me out. In the room, temporarily lent by a friend of a friend of Laizar, we agree on how to proceed: daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

Our objectives for the week will be as follows:

Secured a vehicle and a guide for exploring the parks (later on, we hope to purchase one, but for now, renting is the way to go.)

-Started getting to know the surrounding areas and especially the activities we could offer.

- post on social media

-Began establishing contact with a local orphanage

Yes, because before starting this discussion, I asked the AI to create some questions to learn about each other. To the question "What would you do with your life if money were not an issue?", he replied that he would dedicate himself to helping children in orphanages, as he himself grew up in those conditions.

I found it beautiful, noble, and within a few minutes, it became one of our main objectives: we wanted to bring positivity to the community. Here we are, bearers of a project that is much more than just tourism: Human.

We are going to sleep tonight, full of ambitions, on a temporary mattress and feeling the roughness of the ground in our backs.

Day 1 to explore the surroundings, a first expedition in the city of Arusha awaits us. Scooters, motorcycles, trucks, wrong-way drivers, honking, and raised dust would sum up my first impressions of this city. This tumult does not affect the mentality of the locals; they are even in harmony with it. After a day of walking to familiarize myself with the scenery and, of course, a mission of nearly 2 hours in total just to get a SIM card and a local number, we return to rest.

The next day, we were supposed to sign the lease for our rental of the property for 6 months: nothing helps, as soon as it comes to forms or administration, it takes forever. I can't send a transfer directly to her account, and other complications are blocking our way to what was initially supposed to be just a signature.

I still want to thank Sophia for her patience and great help; she introduced us to Moses, her financial consultant, who will help us immensely moving forward. This generosity was especially triggered when we explained our project to support orphans and the community; we realized that giving positivity would bring us the same in return, so we will keep this mantra.

This week has therefore been marked by beautiful encounters, administrative waiting, traditional dishes, and discoveries of fantastic landscapes.

We visited two waterfalls and I must say that I particularly appreciate the setting.

Feeling the power of nature that only calls upon itself gives me chills.

This will be an activity offered in our program!

This weekend, we checked off almost all our goals:

– Found a reliable jeep and guide for our excursions: ✅ Done!

– Started discovering nearby places and activities: ✅ Done!

– Posting on social media: that’s exactly why I’m writing today.

As for being in contact with the orphanage: that is our mission for the day, in addition to visiting the Maasai market. Currently, Laizar has gone to borrow a motorcycle from a friend so that we can be more efficient in meeting them.

We continue to move forward step by step, and each day, I think a little more that the beauty of life is just a reflection of the observer's eye.

We will keep you updated soon with the news, hoping to see you at the meeting on July 27 for our first reservations through this same website: Altanzania.com
